Indonesia to speed up visa on arrival for Indians

Indians traveling to Indonesia will now be able to expedite their visa applications upon arrival in Jakarta.

VFS Global has entered into an exclusive agreement with TLP, Immigration Department for Indonesia and Bank Mandiri, to provide online fee prepayment, expedited access and concierge services to international passengers.

Nationals of the 75 eligible countries can apply for their Indonesia visa upon arrival through VFS Global by submitting their documents and paying the fees online before their trip.

A confirmation will be sent to their registered email address and the visa will be processed in advance for stamping on arrival, VFS Global said.

As payment has been made online, the process on arrival is reduced to visa stamping, which can be done at the designated expedited visa on arrival immigration lanes.

Indonesia welcomed more than 15 million foreign tourists in 2019 before the pandemic.

Between January and July 2022, the destination welcomed approximately one million international travellers. In India alone, more than 657,000 tourists arrived in Indonesia in 2019, before the pandemic.
