A TRAVEL expert has revealed how you can track your luggage in MOMENTS using a cheap and nifty hack.
TikTok user @megspassport shared how she keeps track of her bags using her iPhone and some cheap but essential technology.
While passengers transiting through Dublin Airport said security queues were “moving well” – the same cannot be said for the baggage drop and check-in counters.
Grim statistics have revealed that more than 4,000 bags are missing from Dublin Airport, while the Oireachtas transport and communications committee were told on Tuesday that more than 270 bags are misplaced every day.
Luckily, Ireland’s life-saving TikToker hack could save time, money and energy for hundreds of travelers looking for their lost luggage.
In her TikTok explainer, she said: “Are you worried about your luggage going missing at the airport or not making it to the plane?
“Well, never fear because I’m going to show you how you can track your luggage at any time during your trip using this little device called a tile.”
She goes on to explain that a sticker is a Bluetooth-enabled device that helps you track misplaced items that might be near or far.
This is a small, pocket-sized chip that can be tracked on your Android or Apple device and can be attached to absolutely anything.
She added: “It’s not just used for luggage, you can use it on your key rings or on your dog’s collar.

“First, you need to have a smart device and turn on your Bluetooth and location services.
You then sign up in the Tile app with all of your information, including your location.
“You then put that guy in your suitcase and you can see through the app his exact location.
“And when you check in your bags, you can see exactly where they are in the airport and you can make sure they got to the belly of the plane.
“If it is also nearby you will see on the app that it is green and if it is very very far away it will be colored gray.
“And the moral of the story is to invest in a Tile!”
The tiles are around $16-25 on Amazon, while Apple’s own version of the Bluetooth tracker, AirTags, is $35 on their website.
