A tech-savvy man on social media told his followers how their photos and videos reveal their location and how to avoid it.

In a videohe prefaces his advice with the story of a woman he buys a puppy from.

Apparently, after the woman sent him photos and videos of the dog, he was able to tell her where he was.

The woman was blown away and asked how he got that information.

He then taught her how to change her device settings so that when sending a photo or video, she didn’t have to worry about anyone knowing where she was.

Additionally, the man detailed exactly how people can see your location: “So if someone sends you a photo, all you have to do is save it, click it, then swipe to up and she’ll tell you exactly where the person is.

“So be careful when you send this.”

Next, he shared crucial information on how to turn this off in settings.

First, you go to your settings and find privacy, then click on location services. Next, click on the camera and under “Allow access to location”, click on “Never”.

After this process, you are good to go and can send photos and videos worry-free.

The tech guru added: “Not only does it show your location, but it tells you what kind of phone you have, it tells you what lens. The brand new.”
