A fast-track approach to chemical composition and impurity analysis on SelectScience

Now easily integrated into liquid chromatography systems, mass spectrometry (MS) is increasingly recognized as an orthogonal detector that adds additional information to photodiode array (PDA) UV detectors. Analysis of chemical compositions and/or impurities is a typical application using both PDA and MS detectors to enrich the information obtained from a single analysis.

A barrier to the adoption of MS detectors has been software to simplify the interpretation of PDA and MS data. Shimadzu’s compact LC-PDA-MS system runs on LabSolutions software, which is now equipped with deconvolution algorithms for PDA and MS data. This webinar will reveal a streamlined workflow based on double deconvolution to solve the complexities caused by insufficient chromatographic separations.
